How do I clean and take care of my new lights?
Cleaning your lights
Approved cleaners: Gently wash the lens with mild soap and water or mineral spirits using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surface.
Rinse thoroughly: Make sure to remove all soap residue with clean water.
Dry with a microfiber towel: This helps prevent water spots and streaks.
What to Avoid
Avoid high-pressure washers directly on the lens or seals for extended periods.
Don’t use abrasive pads or brushes: They can scratch the lens and reduce light clarity.
No harsh chemicals or solvents: These can damage the lens coating and seals.
Clean Solutions NOT Approved:
- Ajax
- Lemon Joy
- Lysol
- Pink Lux
- Diversol
- Windex
- All liquid detergents
- Any products containing ammonia
- Automatic carwashes are not recommended as the soap could contain ammonia.
Maintenance Tips
Inspect regularly: Check for cracks, loose mounts, or exposed wiring.
Tighten hardware: Make sure all brackets and bolts are secure, especially after off-road use.
Protect wiring: Ensure connectors are sealed and free from corrosion.
